Remove make-up before you go to bed. Do this either with a make-up remover or one of your daily face washings for removing make-up.
Seek professional treatment if your blackheads and whiteheads do not respond to a home treatment regimen. A dermatologist may prescribe a prescription strength skin cleanser, skin lotion, oral contraceptive, antibiotic or acne medication for problem skin.
Avoid skin irritants such as heavy foundation, powder, greasy cosmetics, heavy sunscreens, hair styling products and concealers. Choose products that are oil-free or water based. In addition to this, keep your hands away from your face and avoid allowing your phone, hats and accessories to touch your face.
