How to Cut a Yorkie Poodle's Hair

The Yorkie poodle, or Yorkiepoo, doesn't require a lot of attention when clipping because they don't have an undercoat. You don't need to trim its back, stomach or face hair. Instead, you should clip and bathe your dog about once a week, and then trim the hair every two to three weeks. Yorkie poodles are ideal for people with dog allergies because they produce hair instead of fur.

Spray in leave-in conditioner. Towel or blow dry the hair on low heat until completely dry.

Part the dog's hair down the middle with a brush. Trim the hair around the dog's behind.

Pick up each foot and trim the hair that is growing past the pads. Trim the hair on the ears to about half an inch, so that it doesn't weigh down the ears.
