How to Fix Oily Noses

Oily skin can happen to men or women of any age, and is predominantly seen around the nose area. This can be embarrassing, but there are ways to fix an oily nose and camouflage the problem throughout the day. Taking excellent care of your skin is the first line of defense when you have an oily nose. Wearing the proper kinds of makeup and moisturizer can be key as well. A combination of things can help fix your oily skin and nose. Does this Spark an idea?

Wash your face. Instead of using a harsh cleanser, wash your face in the morning and at night with the most gentle cleanser you can find. Harsh products only aggravate your face and can make your oily skin and nose worse.

Dab some astringent over your oily areas after you clean your skin. This can help reduce excessive oil. An astringent can be used over the course of the day if you need it.

Rub a moisturizer on your face. Use noncomedogenic and oil-free moisturizer. This helps the problem instead of making it worse. Noncomedogenic products are good for people with problem skin, as they are made for sensitive skin.

Brush on some powder. Loose powder works well to soak up the oil on your nose, and mineral makeup tends to work better for people with oily skin. Don't use too much powder. Retouch as needed.

Dab at your oily nose througout the day with blotting tissues made specifically for your face. This helps combat oil on your skin in a pinch.

Tips

- Treat blemishes with a product containing 2 percent salicylic acid as needed.
